Arts and Entertainment

June 2, 2023

From: Weir Farm National Historic Site

Weir Farm Welcomes Diego Juarez
as June 2023 Artist-in-Residence

Diego Juarez is a visual artist, curator and writer from San Pedro, CA, currently working in Waltham, MA. His practice spans painting, poetry, printmaking, and drawing. “The relationship between poetry and abstract painting is the heart of my current research in the studio. I write poetry to record and investigate my lived experience. From these poems, I create abstract images as visual metaphors to explore complex emotional situations," says Juarez. "The resulting work forms a dialogue between these two practices that invites viewers to introspect and embrace
intimacy.”
