Get your Library History & Support the Friends!
2023 marked the 175th anniversary of the Wayland Library's founding. In commemoration, the Library engaged three Brandeis Ph.D. students to write a history, paid for by a grant Brandeis received from the Mellon Foundation. The result is a uniquely delightful little volume full of fascinating information and insights (including a chapter by the Library's Assistant Director, Andy Moore), as well as some wonderful photographs. It's available for $10 at the Circulation Desk, with the proceeds going to the Friends of the Library.

New Catalog on the Way!
Minuteman Library Network is rolling out a new online catalog, which Wayland will officially start using in late January. It has all the features of the current catalog plus a lot of cool new ones. And you’ll be able to transfer your Reading History. Start getting a feel for it now at wayland.minlib.net.

Exhibit: Library Catalogs Before the Internet
"Check it out!" (Pun intended.) On display in the Round Room through February!
