AAPS & YCS Spring Break

UMMNH is open during Spring Break, with hands-on activities and daily planetarium shows. On Tuesday meet snakes and salamanders in a one-of-a-kind Scientist Spotlight from 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Planetarium Shows

10:30 a.m.  Larry Cat in Space
11:30 a.m.  Did Asteroids Really Kill the Dinosaurs?
12:30 p.m.  Sky Tonight
1:30 p.m.   Living in Balance
2:30 p.m.   Sky Tonight

Tickets $8. Available on the day of the show at the Museum Store.

Monday-Friday during break week

Learn about some of our exciting exhibits and galleries like the Exploring Michigan gallery, Evolution: Life Through Time, and the Unseen Worlds installation by artist Jim Cogswell. Schedule subject to change

Investigate Labs
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Step into our Nature Lab & Micro Worlds Lab, where you can use scientific tools and museum specimens to answer questions and solve problems. Our labs offer activities most appropriate for ages 6 and up. Schedule subject to change.

Snake & Salamander Spotlight

Tuesday, March 28, 2023
1:00–4:00 p.m.

Join us for a special themed Scientist Spotlight featuring undergraduate student research on amphibians and reptiles from a U-M Ecology and Evolutionary Biology class. Participate in hands-on activities and learn how museum collections are used in research. Free and open to the public. Suitable for upper elementary through adult visitors.
