Fall & Winter Hours

September 1, 2023 - April 30, 2024
Tuesday-Sunday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Closed Mondays (including Labor Day, September 4)

Starting September 1, 2023, the U-M Museum of Natural History will shift to its fall and winter schedule.  The museum will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Closing on Mondays provides an opportunity for exhibit installation and repair, deep cleaning, and other maintenance projects without blocking access.

The museum will be open to the public on selected Mondays that align with Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) and Ypsilanti Community Schools (YCS) days off:

- AAPS Fall Break — October 16, 2023
- MLK Day — January 15, 2024
- Presidents Day — February 19, 2024
- Monday of AAPS and YCS spring break — March 25, 2024

Spring & Summer Hours

May - August
Daily 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 

The Spring & Summer schedule will resume in May. From May through August 2024, the museum will once again be open daily until 5 p.m.

Holiday Closures

The museum is closed Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Check ummnh.org for additional closings during the year-end holiday period.
