Join Our HR Round Table

The truth is HR professionals are the only ones who can truly understand the unique challenges of other HR professionals.

As a Human Resources professional, you're the go-to person when staff needs answers. You’re always there to answer inquiries, address concerns, provide wellness and mental health benefits, and develop policies and procedures to help ensure their success.

Where do you go to talk through your difficult issues? It’s very difficult for you to talk about these issues at your office. You don't have the time. You want to ensure that HR matters remain confidential. And, of course, there’s always something or someone else needing your attention.

The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to providing this outlet for you. We had a successful program in the past and we’re looking forward to revitalizing it for our members in the HR field. You’ll have someone to talk with, who’ll HEAR you and propose a path forward. It’s more than just a sounding board. The people in this group are facing many of the same issues that you're facing. Being a part of the HR Roundtable will provide you with the guidance and support to help you do your job well, and the tools to excel as an HR professional.

We plan to meet once each month starting in April of this year. If you would like to join our HR roundtable or have any questions, contact [email protected].

Small Business Day on Beacon Hill

Hosted by NFIB, the Retailers Association of Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Restaurant Association

Wednesday, May 24

UMass Club

Boston, MA

Boston legislators are planning Small Business Day on Beacon Hill. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 24 at the UMass Club and serves as an opportunity to highlight the issues important to Massachusetts small businesses. It is more important than ever that small business owner voices are heard, and legislators understand the many issues facing employers. From staffing challenges to inflation, Massachusetts small businesses are still in a state of recovery.

Chamber of Commerce members are invited to participate in Small Business Day, which will be free this year. As in past years, they will be creating a registration landing page that includes your logo with their list of partners.

The program will include:

-Refreshments and Welcome

-Legislative Update (Labor mandates, healthcare, energy, taxation, etc.)

-Panel on Energy Costs

-Keynote Speaker (TBD)
