Museum@Home: Adult Edition

Art and science complement each other in ways that can elevate our understanding of the natural world. Jim Cogswell, Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design Professor, demonstrates this deftly through Unseen Worlds, a UMMNH art installation that puts a colorful and joyful spin on microorganisms. Join us for another union of art and science as U-M choreographer and dancer Leah O’Donnell interprets Cogswell’s work, performing an original dance inspired by the installation.

Museum@Home is issued twice a month. The Family Edition is issued on the first Wednesday of the month, and the Adult Edition on the third Wednesday.

Expert Expo: Unseen Worlds

Virtual Event - Unseen Worlds: Bodies in motion and at rest

On February 23, UMMNH hosted a members and donors virtual event featuring a short introduction from Museum Director Amy Harris followed by a lively discussion with Leah O'Donnell and Jim Cogswell about their creative process and the inspiration behind the artwork, choreography, and performance associated with the Unseen Worlds installation.
