Project Manager at Public Works Department. Full time, 35 hours/week with comprehensive benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position assists with managing and coordinating construction and repair projects relating to Town assets such as bridges, buildings, roadways and drainage systems. Duties include: preparing bid documents and RFPs, managing project budgets, inspecting and recommending priorities for construction and repairs, obtaining quotes to comply with purchasing requirements and assisting in preparation of plan designs and cost estimates. Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in project management, IT, accounting, engineering or related field. Two years of experience in the management of public works projects or its equivalent. Knowledge of general construction methods and technology.  A combination of education and experience may be considered. Library Assistant. 12 hrs. every week: Monday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Thursday, 4:30 p. m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Every other week 19 hrs. per week includes the above hrs. plus Saturday (alternate with another staff member), 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p. m. Included is a half hour unpaid break on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Works mostly in Children’s Department and one day in Adult Department. Responsible for all circulation procedures and shelving books. Must have good communication skills, working knowledge of clerical duties and working knowledge of computer skills. Ability to work effectively with the public. Graduation from High School or equivalent. Starting at $14 per hour.

Per Diem (As Needed)

Assistant Animal Control Officer. Per Diem, as needed position. Under the direction of the Animal Control Officer, the Assistant Animal Control Officer receives and responds to complaints regarding domestic animals and wildlife from the general public and enforces all relevant State and Town laws, ordinances and policies. Possession of a valid CT motor vehicle license is required. Must obtain rabies vaccination and stay current with shots. Must have a current CT Animal Control Officer Certification or be willing to complete certification within one year. Salary is $18-$20/hour. Click to view the job description.
