From: Town Of Sherborn

The Town of Sherborn welcomes our new Town Administrator Jeremy Marsette. Mr. Marsette begins as Town Administrator on November 28, 2022.

Mr. Marsette was one of three finalists presented to the Select Board by the Town Administrator Search Committee a volunteer group of nine members. During the final interview process, it was clear to the Select Board that Jeremy was what the Town of Sherborn needed. His enthusiasm to come on board and be a leader in the community was quite evident. He brings with him a host of experience in municipal operations, collective bargaining negotiations, finance, and a myriad of other talents.

Mr. Marsette comes from the Town of Natick where he has served as the Director of Public Works for the past eight years. Under his leadership his department and staff were recognized for exceptional performance by the American Public Works Association receiving several national awards. Prior to his tenure in Natick, he was the Assistant Director of Public Works and City Engineer for the City of Framingham. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management from Suffolk University/Massachusetts Municipal Association, a Professional Certificate in Municipal Finance from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, and is pursuing an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government

Jeremy resides in Medfield, MA with his family where he has served as the Chair of the Board of Water and Sewerage and currently Chairs the Warrant Committee (Finance Committee). He is a professionally licensed civil engineer, has served on the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority Advisory Board Executive Committee, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of Town Finance Committees. His strong finance background will be a great asset to the Town as we make our way though some uncertain budget years ahead.
