From: Town Of PrincetonPrinceton's Environmental Action and Open Space Committees and Conservation Commission invite residents to join them on Sunday, October 16, at 10 am for a hike from Krashes Field to the Peabody/Metcalf property. We'll pass through first and second succession forest and hay fields, by a beaver pond and a fire pond, all the while discussing how climate change (and drought in particular) is impacting our beloved environment. Please join us!
The planned route will be approximately 4 miles in length, with a shorter option for those interested. We'll meet/park at Krashes Field and follow the Bullock/McElroy Loop to Cary trail, then on to the parking area at the intersection of Routes 31 and 62 at Hall Field at about 10:45. Those interested in a shorter walk (approximately 2 miles) can join us at Hall Field for the Russell Corner section, which will consist of Hall Field Trail, Poor Family and Peabody/Metcalf loops. From there, the Krashes group will continue down Bullock Lane to the Bullock/McElroy Loop to the High Esker and back to Krashes Field.
Questions? Contact the EAC’s Claire Golding ([email protected]) or Forrest Iwanik ([email protected]). Hope to see you there!
