From: Town of Plymouth

The Town of Plymouth Select Board-appointed Zoning Board of Appeals and the 1749 Court House Committee each have one vacant position. The Select Board is seeking interested residents for the following board and committee openings.

Zoning Board of Appeals - Apply by Wednesday, October 26, 2022

The Zoning Board of Appeals is a five-member board with two alternate members. The purpose of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to hear cases for Variances, Special Permits, and Comprehensive Permits. Zoning bylaws provide for certain building requirements, and it is the role of the Board of Appeals to determine whether exemptions from these regulations are warranted in certain situations. The Board generally meets twice a month but additional meetings could be required based on case load. Meetings are held in person at Plymouth Town Hall on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

- 1749 Court House Committee - Apply by Wednesday, October 26, 2022

This Committee oversees the plan and design of the museum exhibits and special events of the 1749 Court House Museum. Generally, the Committee meets bi-monthly, about six times a year. The meetings are held in person at the museum. Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have a passion for history (especially Plymouth history).

Interested residents can submit a Volunteer Application online

Residents are also able to submit a letter of interest, outlining the rationale as to why they would like to be appointed. Residents may also submit a resume, although that is not required. Residents may submit their letters of interest and any additional information and questions to Anthony Senesi, Assistant to the Select Board/Town Manager on or before Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 4:00 pm. either via email at [email protected] or at the Town Manager's Office at Plymouth Town Hall, 26 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360
