Newtown’s own Gold Roots, formed during the pandemic and has since been performing at local venues such as Aquila’s Nest Vineyard, Newsylum Brewery, as well as many private events and parties. Gold Roots is primarily a cover band, with an eclectic set list of many different genres and decades of great music.

“When choosing music to play, we like to think about everyone who may be out in the crowd, so that if someone comes to one of our shows with their parents, grandparents, and young children, everyone will hear something they know and enjoy!”

The band also has original songs, which are often included in their performances. Gold Roots features a unique performance element with their “mash-ups” where multiple songs are combined into a single cohesive medley. It is clear to see how much every one of the band members simply loves to perform and this is a big part of what makes them so much fun!
