Democratic and Republican Primaries will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

All four regular polling places will be open 6am – 8pm.

District 1: Fawn Hollow Elementary School, 345 Fan Hill Road
District 2: Stepney Elementary School, 180 Old Newtown Road
District 3: Monroe Elementary School, 375 Monroe Turnpike
District 4: Masuk High School, 1014 Monroe Turnpike

Changing from one party to another must have been done 3 months prior to Primary for enrolled electors.

Previously unregistered and unaffiliated electors may register with a party via mail-in, online or DMV registration until Thursday, August 4, 2022.

The easiest and quickest way to register to vote is online, if you have a valid CT driver’s license, learner’s permit or non-driver photo ID card issued by the CT DMV. Click here to register online.

You may also click here to print a voter registration card to mail into the Registrars of Voters’ Office. Mailed applications must be postmarked by August 4, 2022.

You may register to vote in person at the Registrar of Voters’ Office at Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road, Monroe until 12pm on Monday, August 8, 2022. Please bring ID and proof of residence.

The Registrars of Voters will also be holding a special enrollment session on Tuesday, July 26, 12 – 2pm in the Registrars of Voters’ Office at Town Hall. You may register to vote at this session. Please bring ID or proof of residence. The Registrar of Voters will also hear requests at this session by persons removed for adding their names to the registry list.

There will be no Election Day Registration for these Primaries.
