Watch as these colorful balloons take to the air.

The Lake Shelbyville skies become a backdrop for colorful hot air balloons during the Columbus Day weekend.  Friday evening they take off around at 5 pm.  Saturday and Sunday mornings the balloons take flight at dawn.  Saturday night hosts the annual Balloon Glow with food, music, and fun.  Saturday morning they fly over the airport.  Sunday morning they fly over the lake.

October 6th

SUNSET 6:29 pm

4-8 pm Soft Glow at Willow Ridge Winery. Some balloons will inflate and some will do a soft glow if weather permits. Pauly's BBQ food truck and Donut Dollies food truck will be available. Entertainment by the Grand Moff Band.

October 7th

SUNRISE 6:54 am, SUNSET 6:28 pm

TBA Pilot Briefing/Crew Call (Morning Flight)

Sunrise Sunrise Fun Flight. The Pilots will be flying over the Shelby County Airport sponsored by Software Solutioins Inc.

4-8:30 pm Balloon Glow and Cookout at the Shelby County Airport. (Sponsored by J&R Collision Centers) Some balloons will inflate and do a glow if weather permits. Cookout benefits Shelbyville Fire Department, Local food and drink vendors, Music by All Kindz of Soundz, Kids Area sponsored by Family Drug from 4-6:45 pm. Tethered balloon rides to benefit local charities. SummerSkyz Helicopter Rides 2pm-Dusk (max 3 people per ride). Enjoy skydivers from the Mid American Parachute Club out of Taylorville before the glow. Paddi's Air Filled Fun will be twisting balloons.

October 8th
