STORY TIME: TODDLERS & TYKES RETURNS

Our weekly story hour returned to a full house last week from it's summer break. Quite a tiny, cheery faces: both new and familiar.  Our Children's Manager, Amanda, read aloud a few delightful storybooks (one in which a brilliant little mind recognized and named an octagon!) and wrapped up with a sponged-painted, snake papercraft.  We were thrilled with the chance to catch up with all our book-loving families!  Spread the word!  Story Time: Toddlers & Tykes is back; every Thursday at 10:30am.

About FOL

Have you heard?  One Book Thomas County is returning this September!

Thomas County's  annual community read is back from its long hiatus.  This year's event line-up will be a bit reduced from the past, but the main event is still on.

This year, One Book has selected You're Not Listening by renowned journalist and author Kate Murphy. Handpicked by Malcolm Gladwell, Adam Grant, Susan Cain, and Daniel Pink for the Next Big Idea Club, it was named one of The Washington Post's "Notable Works of Nonfiction in 2020" and couldn't be more of an essential book for our times.

Add it to your calendar: Sept 28, 7:00pm.  A visit from author Kate Murphy.  Tickets are on sale now online and at the Library.

Paperback copies are available for purchase at One Book partner, The Bookshelf and to borrow at your local library.
