The Concord Film Project is BACK at The Umbrella! The film series returns on February 8 at 7:30pm with the first film showing since 2020. Mark your calendars - tickets will go on sale and the film will be announced NEXT WEEK!

Join us for an artist talk on February 3 at 4pm with our *new* Ceramics Artist in Residence, Katie Bosley Sabin. Learn more about her background and her career as an artist and educator and her plans at The Umbrella.

Kick off Black History Month on February 1 with a free WGBH virtual discussion with acclaimed author, Alice Walker.

Walker became the first African American woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and the National Book Award in 1983 for The Color Purple, whose Tony-winning musical adaptation will be presented on our Mainstage May 12 - June 4.

Umbrella Studio Artist Jill Goldman-Callaghan will be hosting a virtual artist talk this Sunday, January 29 at 10:30am.

Join Jill as she talks about her process of creating abstract paintings by combining art elements like shape, texture, line, and color with emotional elements such as memory, dream, nature, history, and emotion. She will share her process of listening to the painting and cultivating thoughtful spontaneity as a way of working.
