OUR IMPACT

Educating Local Students: Since opening in 2021, we’ve offered 46 semester-long art and music classes, 27 workshops, and 16 artist talks, all FREE. We’ve inspired creativity in over 2,300 young minds.

Promoting Local Artists: We've proudly exhibited 52 local artists, and sponsored 24 Resident Artists and Korry Fellows, watching them thrive, learn, create, and teach within our space. They are the heart and soul of our creative family and have made a tremendous impact in students’ lives.

Celebrating Local Talent: Over 42,000 visitors have enjoyed 39 free art exhibitions, showcasing incredible work by local artists aged 5 to 93 years old. The Norwalk Art Space has become a vibrant hub for the community to explore and celebrate the beauty of art and music, admission-free.

Serving a Diverse Student Body: TNAS students come from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the rich tapestry of our community:

 - 72% come from households with an income below the Norwalk median

 - 60% are female and 5% are nonbinary

 - 71% identify as BIPOC/Hispanic/Middle Eastern/Asian/mixed race

 - 57% are studying art and music outside of school for the first time
