The Petty-Drayton Music Program is a generous gift from Adria Petty and Charley Drayton, in honor of their fathers, the late Tom Petty and Bernard Drayton. Both families have a deep-rooted belief in the power of music as an essential part of life, creativity, and expression. This program is a tribute to their legacy.

We offer a variety of after-school music courses designed to cater to different interests and skill levels. From guitar fundamentals to vocal techniques, improvisation, ear training, and performance skills, we have something for everyone.

Together with Intempo, a leader in music education and an incredible resource to the Norwalk community, we are excited to bring more music into a space where something beautiful is already growing!

In this 5-week course, students will embark on a collaborative adventure to create their very own immersive installation artwork. Emily Teall, with her wealth of experience as both an artist and our former Resident Artist, will guide them in developing a cohesive conceptual idea and bringing it to life in the unique TNAS loft installation room.

Explore artworks by contemporary artists like Do Ho Suh, Meredith Connelly, and Angiola Churchill. Use site-specific elements from the Norwalk Art Space, including playing with light in the installation room, incorporating materials from the TNAS staircase wire installation, and gathering natural treasures from our beautiful sculpture garden.

This is your chance to unleash your creativity, work as part of a team, and see your ideas come to life in a stunning, immersive art installation.
