Take a Cruise on Long Island Sound

Every weekend this September, we'll be hosting Marine Life Encounter Cruises onboard our 64-foot catamaran. It's a great way to enjoy the nice weather and learn about the diversity of animals and plants that call the Sound home. (All cruises are weather-permitting and passengers must be at least 42 inches tall.)

Help Conserve Freshwater Mussels

Freshwater mussels are one of the most imperiled groups of animals in the U.S., with nearly 35 species now extinct. Of the 12 freshwater mussel species still found in Connecticut, seven are endangered, threatened, or species of concern.

You can help us conserve these mussels by participating in the Freshwater Mussels of Connecticut Project. Volunteers can join a virtual training on September 15 at 7 p.m., to learn how to collect and upload data about these ecologically important animals.
