Arlington's Sister City -Teosenti,

El Salvador

'Since Arlington became Teosinte's Sister City in 1988, one of our roles has been to raise our voices on behalf of human rights in El Salvador when necessary. This is one of those times.'

March 24 is also the 43rd anniversary of the murder of Archbishop Oscar Romero while he celebrated Mass in San Salvador.  Archbishop Romero is widely recognized as a martyr for human rights.

The 48 Hour Film Project

It's a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie - write, shoot, and edit - in just 48 hours. On Friday night, teams draw a genre from a hat. They are then given a character, prop and line to include in their films. On Sunday night, in a wild dash to the drop-off event, the film is turned in - and teams celebrate.  The films are then screened at a local theater in front of an audience of filmmakers, friends, and families.

In 2023, we'll be celebrating 20 years of the Boston 48HFP and we are inviting you to participate.
