Arts and Entertainment

September 10, 2022

From: Zen Fest

Free benefit for Stone Creek Zen Center in Graton. Meditation and altar supplies, books, crafts, jams, food truck, plants and rummage for sale.

This year’s Zen Fest gathering and sale is on Saturday, October 15, from 10 am – 3 pm, after a two year absence.  The rain date is October 29.  Its new site will be outdoors at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 280 High St, Sebastopol, CA.  Admission is free.  Parking is free and available at the lot across High St from the Center, in the city lot next to Hopmonk, and on the street.

This marks the 15th annual Zen Fest in Sebastopol benefiting the Stone Creek Zen Center.  It’s a community event, a time to meet old and new friends.  Items for sale will include meditation and altar supplies, books, arts and crafts, homemade jams and baked goods, plants and plant starts, and new and select rummage from Buddha’s Attic.  A Silent Auction will offer affordable and unusual art, ceramics, antiques and donated services.  Food from the local Japanese food truck Sushi Shoubu will be available for purchase.

Stone Creek was founded in 1996 by Jisho Warner Roshi, Abiding Teacher.  Sessei Meg Levie became Head Priest in 2022.  The Zendo moved to Graton in 2009, and purchased the building in 2017.  The renovation and expansion is expected to be completed in early 2023.  We reach out to the community to support this project.
