VIRTUAL: JOB SEARCH HELP - LinkedIn Laboratory: What Works? What Doesn't? (RR)

Monday, August 29, 2pm

LinkedIn Laboratory LIVE! is an interactive session in which career and executive coach Tammy Gooler Loeb, author of Work from the Inside Out, will review your LinkedIn profiles (brave volunteers needed!) and offer on-the-ground feedback and advice to people about how you can strengthen your presence on LinkedIn so that recruiters, potential employers, and strategic connections can find you. Having a completed profile is only the beginning of having a solid presence on LinkedIn. We will discuss effective strategies for being active on the platform, engaged with people and how to access the information you need to be on top of your job search and career goals. Bring your questions and be ready to explore all of your possibilities! If you would like to volunteer to have your profile reviewed during the session, please contact Robert Hayes at [email protected] to put your name and LinkedIn URL on the list. There will be a limited number of spots available for this special session on a first-come, first-served basis.

VIRTUAL: Explore The National Park Service Units in Massachusetts (RR)

Thursday, September 1, 11am

Contrary to some signs you may see along state roads, there are not any National Parks in Massachusetts. There are, however, 16 different locations in the state that are under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service – they represent a variety of “unit designations” ranging from historical sites to recreation areas to a National Seashore. Our guide Steve Farrar will take us on a tour of local places that can give us a taste of the National Park Service right here in our own backyard (or at least within distance of a day trip). Steve has visited all 63 of our country's National Parks, including hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, scuba diving the coral reefs of the Virgin Islands, camping among the wolves on Isle Royale, scaling rock faces in Yosemite, and climbing to the summits of Mount Rainier and Denali.
