This Week at Planes of Fame . . .

Take a Flight Into History

The Commemorative Air Force returns to Planes of Fame Air Museum tomorrow.  Rides are available in their B-17G "Sentimental Journey" and their B-25J "Maid in the Shade" beginning Thursday.

Imagine the Stories You'll Tell!

This week is your opportunity to take a flight back in time in one of two World War Two era bombers.  Planes of Fame Air Museum is proud to once again host the Commemorative Air Force as they bring their beautiful B-17G Flying Fortress Heavy Bomber "Sentimental Journey" and their B-25J Mitchell Medium Bomber "Maid in the Shade" back to Chino for walk-thru tours and memorable flights.

Both aircraft arrive tomorrow (Wednesday) and will be open for walk-thru tours.  Your admission to the Museum (members always get in free!) is your ticket to see up close the exterior and interior of these two giants of America's bombing arsenal from the Second World War.

Then, beginning on Thursday, April 27 and continuing until Sunday, April 30, you're able to purchase a seat in one (or both!) of these amazing aircraft for a ride you'll always treasure.  Flights are scheduled for the morning hours and both aircraft will be available for walk-thru tours in the afternoons.

Fly in the Boeing B-17G "Flying Fortress"

The B-17 is the stuff of legend.  Flown in all theaters of World War II, over 12,000 B-17 aircraft were built by Boeing, Douglas Aircraft, and Lockheed's Vega division.  Built to deliver large volume bomb loads, each aircraft is powered by four 1,200 horsepower radial engines.

There are two seating options available in the B-17G - the Bombardier position in the nose of the aircraft is available for $850 per person.  Two seats are available for each flight!

Or, experience your flight into history from the Radio Room and Waist Gunner positions for only $475 per person.  Each flight provides six of these seats.

Available seating is selling out fast - so don't delay another minute.  To purchase your ticket, simply click the Green Button below:

Fly in the North American B-25J "Mitchell"

Built for speed and low-to- medium altitude bombing runs, the North American B-25 was a true workhorse of the Second World War.  Nearly 10,000 of these agile bombers were built here in Southern California or in the midwest.  They flew in all theaters of the war, sometimes flying over enemy territory at only 100 feet off the ground!

Each flight aboard "Maid in the Shade" will feature three Front Jump Seats at $590 per person.  Four seats are available in the Waist Gunner Seat for just $375 per person.

Make It a Full Day
