50 Years of Beef Days

Solon Beef Days is an annual community celebration in Solon, Iowa, featuring great food, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

Friday, July 21, 2023

5:00pm - 10:00pm: Carnival on the Midway. Unlimited rides with purchase of a $25 wristband each night
5:00pm: Sugar & Spice - Acoustic Duo playing favorite Covers from 70’s to today!
6:00pm: Kids Tractor Pull, registration in person at 5:00pm
6:00pm: Optimist Club Bingo until 10:00 pm
7:00pm: Hay Bale Toss. Registration: 6:00pm in front of the band stand Divisions: Women, Senior (over 50), Men Must sign waiver
9:00pm: 8 Seconds Band - Performing music from Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash to Jason Alden’s and Luke Combs.

7:30am: 1 Mile Fun Run & 5k (Pre-registration or day of at 6:30 am for either)
10:00am: Parade
11:00am - 10:00pm: Carnival on the Midway $25 – unlimited wristband rides from 5:00pm: 10:00 pm
11:00am: Funk Daddies - 3rd time back to Beef Days for the Midwest’s Hippest band to help Celebrate our 50th anniversary and the bands 20th year together, playing your favorite Funk, Soul & R&B.
12:00pm: Optimist Club Bingo until 10:00 pm
12:00pm: Horseshoe Tournament – Registration at Randall Park
1:00pm: Bags Tournament in front of the band stand. Pre-registration online only
1:00pm: Adult Water Ball Fights at the new fire station
1:00pm: Spartan Archery Tournament
12:00pm: Pre-registration or walk-up at Solon Middle School
1:30pm: Big Wheel Race (Sign up at 1:00) at Kid’s Corner
2:00pm - 4:00pm: (Beer Tent) – DJ Spinning your favorite tunes in the Beer tent.
4:00pm: 6:00pm: (Beer Tent) Molly Shannon
7:00pm: Trophy Dads. TD’s are back to Rock Solon! The Trophy Dads from Solon bring you a high energy mixture of 80s, 90s and 2000s rock.
9:00pm: Spazmatics. National touring act from Chicago playing all of your favorites from the best decade ever- The 80’s! Outstanding musicianship combined with creative flair and style makes for an evening of pure energy and entertainment.
