Shelburne Museum opens for the 2023 season on Saturday, May 13 with a special exhibition Object/s of Play: The Work of Cas Holman and Karen Hewitt that explores the creative processes of two award-winning American toy designers-a generation apart-who interpret the concept of open-ended play in their own unique ways. On view in the Pizzagalli Center Diana and John Colgate Gallery.

An opening day performance is scheduled In conjunction with Pop Up: Inflated Sculpture (https://shelburnemuseum.org/exhibition/pop-up/) , an indoor/outdoor group exhibition celebrating the innovative designs, diverse materiality and technological advancements of contemporary inflatable sculpture. Featured artist Tamar Ettun will offer a performance, tour, and Q & A at her outdoor sculpture installation on the Circus Lawn. Free with Museum admission, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Shelburne Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 13 through October 22, 2023.
