Sharing The Arts With Everyone In Our Community

Arts and Entertainment

June 20, 2022

From: Arlington Arts Center

Your support of the Arlington Arts Center connects our community to the arts in so many ways, from our cutting-edge contemporary art exhibitions to our professionally taught art education programs for people of all ages.

One of the most important ways you help to make the arts more accessible and inclusive is through AAC's partnerships with area schools, local social service agencies, and other community groups –– enabling our neighbors from every walk of life to experience the magic of the arts and achieve their artistic potential.

And right now, you can double the impact of your support of these life-changing initiatives by giving to our Community Connections campaign.

Through June 30, a group of current and former AAC board members will match every contribution we receive –– dollar for dollar, up to $16,000 –– providing a $32,000 boost to AAC's community partnerships and the rest of our programming to strengthen our community's connection with the arts.

Won't you please help to make the most of this remarkable opportunity with a tax-deductible donation to our Community Connections campaign now?

Your matched gift will provide TWICE the support for AAC programs that bring the power of the arts to some of the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our community.

Your donation will offer healing, hope, and empowerment through our partnerships with local social service organizations like Bridges to Independence –– which operates Arlington County’s largest emergency family shelter and works to lead individuals and families out of homelessness.

As Alex Gavin, Youth Development Manager at Bridges to Independence, recently said:

"There is no other place like Arlington Arts Center. It's unique in the way that it intentionally reaches at-risk youth and creates a multitude of opportunities for youth expression. I've seen the ways that art can be therapeutic for kids and AAC is providing a valuable outlet for our community with its exceptional programming."

Your contribution to our Community Connections campaign will also provide DOUBLE the support for AAC's partnerships with area schools like the Washington-Liberty High School, Yorktown High School, and H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program –– providing students with professional development and the opportunity to display their artwork in our galleries. And, you will help us to forge more connections like our collaboration with Made in Arlington to present more artist-focused events in our community.

Generous art lovers like you fuel all of these important AAC partnerships –– as well as our exhibitions featuring artists from Arlington and around the world, our prestigious artists residency program, our popular art education programs, and so much more. We simply couldn't do it without you!

So please help us reach our Community Connections campaign goal –– and DOUBLE the impact of your support –– with a generous tax-deductible gift now.

Thank you again for sharing your love of the arts with EVERYONE in our community!
