Osceola Schools Recognized For Outstanding Community Involvement With The Golden School Award

For the 2022-2023 school year, Osceola schools have earned a total of 42 Golden School Awards, which is the highest recognition for community involvement and exemplary volunteer programs. The award is presented to schools that meet certain criteria, including faculty training on how to work with volunteers and program policies and procedures. The school principal must designate a volunteer coordinator to provide leadership for the school volunteer program, and the school must have a total number of hours of volunteer service that equals or exceeds the number of students enrolled in the school. The district is extremely proud that every elementary school in Osceola County received the award this year.

2022/2023 Golden School Award Winners:

Elementary Schools (25): Boggy Creek, Central Avenue, Chestnut Elementary School for Science and Engineering, Cypress, Deerwood, East Lake, Flora Ridge, Harmony Community, Hickory Tree, Highlands, Kissimmee, Koa, Lakeview, Michigan Avenue, Mill Creek, Narcoossee, Neptune, Partin Settlement, Pleasant Hill, Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts, Reedy Creek, St. Cloud, Sunrise, Thacker Avenue Elementary for International Studies, and Ventura.

Middle Schools (4): Denn John, Harmony, Horizon, and St. Cloud

High Schools (5): Harmony, Liberty, Osceola, St. Cloud, and Tohopekaliga

Multi-Level Schools (2): Canoe Creek K-8 and Celebration K-8

Charter Schools (6): Bellalago Academy, Creative Inspiration Journey, Four Corners Elementary, Kissimmee, Osceola Science, and PM Wells

During the 2022-2023 school year, more than 14,600 parents, senior citizens, business leaders,  adults, and students donated over 200,000 hours to Osceola County schools. As society continues to increase its demand on the role of teachers and with a limitation of funds at issue, OASIS school volunteers extend teachers' and staffs' professional skills and assist in the effort to meet the unique needs of each student. Escuelas de Osceola Reconocidas con el Premio Golden School Award por su Destacada Labor en la Comunidad

Durante el curso escolar del 2022-2023, las escuelas de Osceola han ganado un total de 42 premios Golden School Awards, el cual representa el más alto reconocimiento por participación en la comunidad y por programas de voluntariado ejemplares. El premio es otorgado a las escuelas que cumplan ciertos requisitos, incluyendo entrenamiento del personal en cuanto a cómo trabajar con voluntarios, y políticas y procedimientos del programa. El principal de la escuela debe nombrar un coordinador de voluntarios de la escuela para proveer liderazgo para el programa escolar de voluntariado y la escuela debe tener un número total de horas de servicio voluntario que iguale o exceda el número de estudiantes matriculados en la escuela. El distrito está extremadamente orgulloso de que todas las escuelase de nivel primario en el Condado Osceola recibieron dicho premio este año.

Durante el curso escolar del 2022-2023, más de 14,600 padres, personas mayores, líderes de negocios, adultos y estudiantes donaron más de 200,000 horas a las Escuelas del Condado Osceola. A medida que la sociedad continúa aumentando la demanda de maestros y con el tema de la limitación de fondos, los voluntarios escolares de OASIS extienden las habilidades profesionales de maestros y del personal y se esfuerzan en satisfacer las necesidades únicas de cada estudiante.
