A recent donation to Creative 360 has made a number of scholarship available for the arts center’s Summer Arts Intensives program.  Arts Intensivesmiddle school and high school artists at all levels the opportunity to take a deep dive into a particular area of art. Intensives include painting, fiber art, acting, clay hand building, and world building & role playing.

“The Great Lakes Bay Region has so many creative middle and high school students who need a distraction-free zone for creating,” said Public Relations Coordinator, and mother of two, Laura Brigham. “We are able to offer that with our intensives and we believe cost should never hold an artist back.”

All Arts Intensives are led by instructors who are accomplished artists and performers with a depth of knowledge and passion that is outstanding in their field. Whether a student is interested in writing, performance, 3-D or 2-D art, each student will be encouraged to develop their individual creative expression.

“Our mission has always been to create environments where all people can experience the creative process,” explained Executive Director Laura Vosejpka. “We understand that once a young artist makes a commitment to learning, instruction and materials get expensive. Creative 360 is committed to addressing that barrier with these scholarships and we are grateful to our community for supporting us in this endeavor.”

Scholarships vary in amount based on need, however most cover 50% of the tuition for an Arts Intensive. Students who have access to Community Living Support monies can use those towards tuition costs as well. Parents or guardians can contact the arts center for a short application form.

Intensives each run Monday- Friday afternoons. Tuition is $75-$100 depending on course materials.   Students can be registered at becreative360.org or by calling the arts center at 989-837-1885.
