Bach at the Bistro: a Night at the Movies

Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 6pm - Jazz St. Louis

Enjoy an Evening of Your Favorite Musical Theatre Hits From the Silver Screen. Get Ready to Be Taken on a Nostalgic Journey as Individual Members of the Bach Society Chorus Take the Stage. The Eclectic Program Moves Through the Decades With Classics From the Gershwin Brothers and Rodgers and Hammerstein to Contemporary Hits From Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown and More! Programmed and Directed by Stephen Eros, This Evening of Fun and Entertainment is Not to Be Missed!

Doors Open at 6 Pm; Show Begins at 7:15 Pm.  Food and Drinks Will Be Available for Additional Purchase.

Brandenburg Concertos

Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at 3pm - Salem United Methodist Church

Indulge Your Senses as the Bach Society of Saint Louis Brings J.s. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos to Life, Each Boasting Its Distinct Personality and Allure. The Concert Includes Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5, Showcasing Bach’s Compositional Diversity and His Ability to Highlight Various Instruments.

In Addition to the Brandenburg Concertos, the Program Also Presents Bach’s Concerto for Harpsichord in D Major, Featuring Harpsichordist Charles Metz. Concertmaster Lenora-marya Anop Will Lead Members of the Bach Society Orchestra in Sharing These Timeless Compositions.

Section 2:  $42 (Rear Half of Sanctuary)

Enjoy a Range of Musical Tastes From Musical Theatre to Classical Favorites During This Concert Featuring the 2023-2024 Bach Society Young Artist Award Recipients. Plus, You’ll Get to Hear Directly From Early-career Singers About the Various Paths That Led Them to Pursue a Career in Music.

Join the Bach Society of Saint Louis as We Celebrate the Extraordinary Talents of the 2023-2024 Bach Society Young Artist Award Recipients Taking Center Stage in a Captivating Concert. Prepare to Be Enthralled by a Diverse Array of Music From the Operatic and Oratorio Genres During This Free Concert. Reservations Are Strongly Recommended Due to Limited Capacity. Presented in Collaboration With the Couts Music Series at Second Presbyterian Church.

Community Spring Sing

Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11am - the Church of Our Lady of the Snows

Unite Your Voice With the Bach Society Chorus and Other Local Choruses for a Community Sing-along Accompanied by the Bach Society Orchestra. Together, We’ll Sing Beloved Choral Works Including Schubert’s Mass in G Major, a Work Composed When He Was Only 18 Years Old!

Led by the Bach Society’s Assistant Conductor, Stephen Eros, the Community Sing Welcomes Singers of All Experience Levels.

Participation is Free and Advanced Registration is Strongly Encouraged Due to Limited Capacity. We Are Offering Two Types of Tickets:

Ticket Only (Free) - Participant is Responsible for Downloading or Printing Their Own Music.

Ticket + Printed Music Copies ($10) - Participant Will Be Given Printed Music Copies on the Day of the Event.
