The Champagne Kickoff allows guests to enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the top of mountain where they will sip champagne and savor small bites before heading down the mountain for the Grand Tasting.

The Best of Fest on Friday night is an evening, mountaintop tasting featuring high-end, select bottles to sip, swirl, and savor.

Join us at Vertical Bistro & Tap, located in the Village at Winter Park Resort. The culinary team at Vertical Bistro presents an artfully crafted 5-course meal highlighting delectable food paired with Italian wines hand selected by sommelier Shelley Sale.

She will lead you through a diverse portfolio of producers that value quality over quantity production, you are sure to find your next favorite Italian-sourced bottle.

BEST OF FEST

Enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the Best of Fest. This evening tasting features the gems of the Classic and delectable small bites. Wineries select the finest reserve bottles to sip, swirl and savor.

Wines that make the cut for this premier event average over $100 per bottle and are 90+ point rated. The Best of Fest wine tasting is the can’t miss event of the weekend for wine enthusiasts.

11:00am - 12:30pm : CLASS ON GLASS RIEDEL SEMINAR

Riedel and the Rocky Mountain Wine Festival come together to offer guests a unique and authentic experience – Class on Glass Riedel. To showcase wine in its finest form, Riedel’s varietal-specific glasses enhance the aromas and taste components while finding a wine’s maximum complexity by featuring the best possible harmony. When all these elements are in place, the glass becomes the wine’s ‘loudspeaker,’ transmitting the message of the beverage to the human senses.

Join Southern Glazer Wine & Spirits’ Shelley Sale and discover the effect of shape and size on the perception of wine in a glass & wine-tasting tutorial. Guests will enjoy tasting four different varietals and the stemware best suited for each. Guests will enjoy tasting the stemware best suited for Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc – and receive a clean RIEDEL Performance Tasting Kit with four glasses to take home (retails for $178).

Try wines from all over the world while taking in scenic mountain views, dancing to live music and snacking on delectable small bites. Explore everything from fruit-forward sauvignon blancs and pinots, to rich cabernets and zinfandels.
