This fall, RPL will a-maize you!

Corny jokes aside, we're pretty excited about all the great events lined up for the fall. You will find lots to love at the library, from reading to beading, and much more. Fall programs for all ages begin September 1 and run through the end of November. Follow the link below to see our latest program brochure and mark your calendars for programs you don't want to miss.

Highlights:

- Celebrate your freedom to read at a Read-In,on the library lawn.

- Join us for a fun evening of Trivia on September 6

- At Special Guest Storytime, kids aged 5 and under with their caregivers can join RPL Librarians and local town employees as we talk about what they do!

- EnjoyGirl Groups songs of the 50s, 60s, and 70s with Reading's own Back Track Band on September 18.

- On November 6, Certified Financial Planners of Boston visit the RPL to talk about budgeting basics.

- The Memory Cafe returns to the RPL, jointly sponsored with the Pleasant Street Center and the Stoneham Senior Center.

- Just in! Learn all about the unlikely friendship between the Red Sox legendary hitter Ted Williams and the remarkable future astronaut and senator, John Glenn. The author of The Wingmen: The Unlikely, Unusual, Unbreakable Friendship Between John Glenn and Ted Williams, Adam Lazarus, visits the library on Wednesday, September 13 at 7:00pm. Books for sale (thank you, Whitelam Books!) and signing to follow.

Labor Day Holiday Hours

The Library and book drop will be closed on Saturday, September 2 through Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. The library will resume its normal hours on Tuesday, September 5. We wish you, your family, and your friends a safe and happy holiday.
