Learning How To Use the Library's Online Photo Archives, June 1st at 2:00 PM
Join us in the Ayers Room as we learn all about the Library's online photo archives!  Learn how to use and apply all the information to researching ancestry, learning about historical Alabama and so much more!

Sherry Blanton Presents: Gifts From the Gardeners, June 7th at 2:00 PM
There have been gardeners in all walks of life who have bequeathed us legacies from their time spent cultivating a garden.  Working intimately with Nature inspired glorious images in prose, poetry, paintings and activities in everyday lives.  Join Sherry Blanton in looking at the results of their passion in the garden.

Trivia Night : 70's & 80's Sitcoms, June 14th at 6 PM
(Doors open at 5:30 PM)
How well do you know your 70's and 80's sitcoms?  Come to the Library and show us what you know!  Win prizes, meet new friends and have some fun.  (Doors open at 5:30 PM)

Dr. Julie Williams : A Rare Titanic Family - The Caldwell Story of Survival June 21st at 2:00 PM
Join Dr. Julie Williams as she gives a one woman show (in costume!) presenting her book "A Rare Titanic Family : The Caldwell Story of Survival".  This story is based off a first hand account as told to her by her great uncle Albert.
Earns 3 punches.

FREE Computer Classes Tuesdays at 9am

Model City Chess Club,  June 18th at 1:30pm
All ages and skill levels welcome.  Ayers Room.

Library Closures
We will be closed June 19th & 20th.  Even while the Library is closed, you can still check out books, magazines and periodicals via Camellia Net.

Coffee House Book Chat, June 30th at 3:00pm
We will be discussing Silent Witness by Richard North Patterson. Books may be checked out or purchased at the front desk, or downloaded for free from Camellia Net. 

Monday Movies

Must be 16+ to attend movie.

Cross Purposes (NR), June 6th at noon
An ambitious young medical professional with aspirations of becoming a surgeon encounters a teenage boy with terminal cancer. The two quickly find themselves at odds with each other and must learn from each other how to find purpose in life.

Our Fathers Keeper  (PG), June 13th at noon.
Our Father's Keeper is a story that tests the limits of a family when tragedy strikes, and a film that encourages viewers to grow in love and understanding for one another.
Earns  1 punch.

Found. (NR), June 27th at noon.
"Found" is the story of an innocent teenage boy raised up in the Appalachian Mountains on a small old fashioned homestead devoid of modern conveniences and tucked away from the broader culture at large.
Earns  1 punch.

YA Summer Reading Program, Starting May 31st

Anime Trivia Night, June 2nd at 6 PM
How well do you know your anime?  Come on down to the Library and compete in our Anime themed Trivia Night!  Groups of up to four will compete for prize money.   

Dungeons & Dragons Day, June 11th at 1 PM
Meet us at the Library for Dungeons & Dragons and Pizza!  Create a character sheet, go dungeon crawling and make some new friends!

Teen DIY Neon Signs, June 16th at 4 PM
Teens!  Join us at the Library to design your very own neon sign.  

Teen Laser Tag, June 30th at 7 PM
Teens!  Join us in the Library after hours for a game of Laser Tag!

Teen Take & Make Crafts, All June
This months take & make crafts will be Watermelon Squishies and Message in Bottle

Anime Club, June 9th at 4 PM
Join us in the Ayers Room for watch a new anime title and enjoy Japanese snacks and prizes every month!  This month we will be watching Beastars!

Virtual Reality Wednesdays, Every Wednesday
Every Wednesday during the Summer we will have the HTC Vibe out in the teen area.  Ages 13+, Parental consent form must be signed before play.

Teen Friday Flicks at 3 PM, Every Friday in June

Game Night, June 23rd at 6:00pm
Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!
Children's Services

Lego League, June 8th & 22nd at 3:30 PM
Come build with LEGO bricks in the Children's Department!

Storytime, Tuesdays at 10 am.
Come back to the library and join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 10 am in the Ayer's Room! This will be a socially distanced story time with a craft. A recording of the story will be made available on Facebook.

Pick-Up Craft, weekly in June
Each week a new craft will be available. You can pick up a kit in the Children's Department.

Kids Friday Movie Matinee, Every Friday at 12 PM
