POWELL GARDENS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR 2023 SEASON
Returning favorites and new experiences are coming to Powell Gardens in 2023

Taking cues from the winter season, January and February signal the annual hibernation period for Powell Gardens. “The work done at Powell Gardens follows seasonal rhythms,” says Mark Zimmerman, COO/Interim CEO. “Powell Gardens closes to the public each winter as staff work ahead and anticipate the triumphant arrival of spring. We are looking forward to welcoming members, returning visitors, and new garden friends starting March 3, 2023.”

During January and February, Powell Gardens is closed for daily admission, except for two brand-new events, Valentine's Soiree and Galentine's Brunch (February 11, 2023).

Valentine’s Soirée (Feb. 11, 6-9 p.m.) attendees will enjoy wine and chocolate pairings throughout the Visitor Center, hors d’oeuvres, and live music from Emily Dix, local jazz vocalist. Craft a special valentine and spin your partner around the dance floor! At Galentine’s Brunch (Feb. 11, 10 a.m. - noon), enjoy decadent waffles from The Waffle Iron and a mimosa bar in the Terrace Room. Join loved ones for a beautiful morning overlooking Powell Gardens. Purchase your tickets at powellgardens.org/calendar.

Take a look at the fun in store for the new year with more on the horizon.  As the official kick off to Powell Gardens’ 2023 season, Orchid Delirium (March 3-April 16), returns with a vivid and colorful display, celebrating form and shape.  This indoor botanical exhibit provides an immersive tropical oasis for all orchid appreciators! More information is available online at powellgardens.org/orchid.
