Alexa Romano, 10 years old

Why do you love theatre?

I love theatre because I love working as a team. I also love singing, dancing, and just having fun.

How long have I been at Poison Apple?

What has been your favorite show that you've performed in?

The Addams Family.

Favorite Role?

Thing from The Addams Family.

What’s something you’ve learned from participating in theatre?

I've learned that theater is not done by one person but by a group of people and if you don't work together as a team, you will not succeed.

Can you tell us about a moment onstage when something didn't go as planned? How did it turn out?

In the show Aladdin, several people, including me, did not have time to make it to our spots on stage for the song "A Whole New World." We didn't panic though and we made it work where we were. It turned out fine!

What's one piece of advice you'd like to give to someone stepping onstage for the first time?

If you have stage fright, pretend that everyone in the audience is wearing underwear on their heads!

Is there anyone you'd like to give a shout-out to for supporting you on your acting journey?

I would like to thank my parents, my grandparents, and my dog, Barkley, for supporting me!
