Alcohol Ink in Abstract
One Day Workshop with Debbie Johnson
Two Offerings

Alcohol inks are an alcohol-based, highly pigmented ink that can be diluted with isopropyl alcohol. This allows for the expansion of media over the page. It is similar to watercolors where colors are applied in layers over time by the artist using various techniques to create depth, composition, balance & interest. Debbie will show and guide you on the many techniques used in this medium. She has a ton of tips and tricks to share! Everything you need will be supplied. $80

Origami and the Zhen Xian Bao Thread Book
One Day Workshop with Andrea Plate
Saturday, July 8, 2023
9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Imagine “turning the pages” of a little book and, rather than finding a story, finding a labyrinth of beautiful boxes. This is the Zhen Xian Bao thread book. An ingenious example of origami folk art, it was originally designed to hold little pieces of thread, needles and other small things. First you will learn the basic folds and structure, then you will add your own unique design aesthetic to create a one-of-a-kind model. We will be making a 7-box project. Here is a LINK to a quick video that will help you visualize this project.

This project is appropriate for both new (really!) and experienced origamists.  $50.00
