The Digital Digest

Take a break from the heat - visit our latest exhibition, The Book Beautiful: Selections from the Private Press Movement. It's Elizabeth Gilbert's birthday on July 18, and this week's Digital Digest takes its inspiration from the book that put her on the map: Eat, Pray, Love. Hence, we're celebrating wanderlust. Scroll down for our latest announcements and information on upcoming programs.

Coming soon: our popular Summer Book Sale (July 21 to 25)! Click here to learn all about what to expect, where to park, and what collectibles you might snag, including:

The first English-language printing of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT (1886), of which there are only nine known copies worldwide; a large assortment of works on ARCHITECTURE AND CITY PLANNING dated from the 18th century to the present; two original engravings from the 16th century engraver and printmaker, HENRY GOLTZIUS; and dozens of works by and about FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT affordably priced.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS

Make a Zine for Teens Workshop
Wednesday, July 19 at 3:30 p.m.

Want to make your own “book beautiful” to publish your art, poems, thoughts, recipes, recommendations, collages, or anything else in a shareable form that’s easy (and cheap) to reproduce? If there is a topic you are passionate about, you can put your voice out there by publishing your own zines: short, DIY magazines that you can make with a photocopier or printer. This zine-making workshop will teach how to plan, craft, and write your own zines that you can put out into the world for people to read!
