PARK SYSTEM TO HOST LIFE IN A FRESHWATER POND

ABERDEEN - This summer the Monmouth County Park System is hosting Life in a Freshwater Pond at Freneau Woods Park, Aberdeen.  Held from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursdays, June 29-August 24, this free program invites area residents to join Park System Naturalists and explore a freshwater pond. Look for basking turtles, hopping frogs, hunting herons, splashing fish and more. Also discover the unique life that lies underneath the water.  Closed-toe shoes are required. Parents or guardians are required to stay with and supervise their children. Participants should meet outside the Visitor Center near the picnic tables.
