The Monmouth County Park System will host its Fall Native Plant Swap on Saturday, September 23 at Tatum Park, 151 Red Hill Road, Middletown.  Gardeners are invited to bring well-established plants native to the Mid-Atlantic region in one-quart, one-gallon or two-gallon containers and take home the same size and number of plants.  Please label all containers and check the Deep Cut Garden’s page on the Park System’s website at www.MonmouthCountyParks.com for a list of acceptable native plants.  (Swapping non-native plants in the parking lot of the swap will be strongly discouraged.) House plants may also be exchanged and don’t need to be native. Plant drop off is from 8:30-10 a.m.   Plant selection starts at 10 a.m.

Participants are also invited to take home a native plant seedling; limit one per household as supplies last. For more information on the Fall Native Plant Swap, please call 732-671-6050.   For more information on Tatum Park or the Monmouth County Park System, please visit www.MonmouthCountyParks.com or call 732-842-4000.
