A celebration in Downtown West Monroe with live music, art vendors and makers, fishing tournament on the Ouachita River and rubber duck drop.

April 26, 2024:

4:00 pm: Mrs. Roper's Romp - Downtown West Monroe

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Ouachita RiverFest Kick-Off Concert with Amanda Shaw - Alley Park
Fiddler

Louisiana Cajun Queen and trailblazing fiddler, Amanda Shaw, captivates audiences around the world with her energetic charm and original flare. Amanda has recently appeared on the Louisiana float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day and Rose Parades. This show is part of a special show in the Ouachita Live concert series.

11:00 am: Twin City Jamboree Legacy Show
Country/Bluegrass

The Twin City Jamboree was active in the 1950’s through the late1960’s and stood where the West Monroe Convention Center is located today. The Jamboree was Northeast Louisiana’s version of the Louisiana Hayride, having a profound impact on the music careers of many musicians in the area. This tribute will feature some of the Jamboree’s original performers for an authentic country and bluegrass showcase.

12:30 pm: Dead Reckoning String Band
Bluegrass

Voted “Best Bluegrass Band” in the NELA Music Awards, these friends formed Dead Reckoning String Band to explore their love for bluegrass music. The group honed their sound hosting free neighborhood yard concerts in Monroe’s Garden District. Their broad repertoire ranges from traditional to inventive originals to “bluegrass-ified” covers of chart-topping hits.

1:45 pm: Four on the Floor
Blues

Four on the Floor channels the soulful spirit of the south with electrifying guitar riffs and gritty vocals. Their sound resonates with audiences seeking hard-hitting blues with rock n’ roll energy. The foursome brings a wealth of talent and experience onto the festival stage with a blazing twin guitar attack over a tight, driving rhythm section.

3:15 pm: Clara Rae and the Ramblers
Country / Classic Rock / Americana

Winner of the 2021 Stars on the Bayou Award, Clara Rae is a Northeast Louisiana native who has graced stages in Nashville, Paris and Austin. She has over 300 live shows under her belt and is pursuing a long-term professional music career. Clara will perform a mix of country, classic rock and Americana with her band, The Ramblers.

4:30 pm: CoCo York and the Dan Sumner Band
Soul / Jazz

Originally from Strong, Arkansas, Guinevere “CoCo” York honed her musical skills on Bourbon Street. She has traveled the world playing for presidents, royalty, and audiences in Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia and N. America. She spent years touring with Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra and Rotterdam Philharmonic. Internationally acclaimed guitarist Dan Sumner will join CoCo on stage. Dan owns Fort Sumner recording studio in Monroe where he records and produces Louisiana artists.

Presented by Building Futures Physical Therapy. Admission $5 for children 3-12 years old.

2:00 pm: Duck Sales Deadline - Festival Booth, Alley Park
Presented by Pinch-A-Penny

3:00 pm: Duck Drop - Ouachita River
Presented by Pinch-A-Penny

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm: Chubby Carrier and The Bayou Swamp Band - Alley Park
Zydeco

Grammy-winning third generation Zydeco artist, Chubby Carrier is known as the world’s premier Zydeco showman. Bring your dancing shoes as he takes the stage with the Bayou Swamp Band!
