No-Answer Nella Accepted Campaign Funds from Fake Elector

GOP Candidate Doesn’t Say Much, But Her Associations are Radical and Alarming

No Answer Nella’s first quarterly FEC filing of her campaign revealed that she not only inflated her fundraising numbers to the press but also accepted a campaign donation from one of New Mexico’s notorious fake electors who partook in a scheme to falsely award New Mexico’s electoral votes to Donald Trump after he lost the 2020 presidential election.

Nella’s FEC filing shows that she accepted a $500 donation from Deborah Maestas, a former Chair of the Republican Party of New Mexico and fake elector who was subpoenaed by the January 6th Committee.

One day after the filing became public, Nella held a campaign event with disgraced former Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff Rudy Mora, GOP candidate for New Mexico State Senate in District 10. Mora, Manny Gonzales’ former right-hand man, is currently being investigated along with his former boss by federal authorities who are accusing him of being involved in a scheme that illegally transferred automatic weapons meant for law enforcement.

“Nella should have never accepted campaign funding from a known fake elector and seditionist in the first place and should return the money immediately. But whether she returns the money or not, it is clear who insurrectionists are supporting in the race for U.S. Senate,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “No-Answer Nella doesn’t say very much on the issues, but she sure is close with some of the most troubling characters of the New Mexico Republican Party.”

Not only did Nella accept money from a fake elector, but in 2022 she contributed the maximum amount allowed to Yvette Herrell, who voted against certifying the 2020 election results.

Nella associating with the worst of the worst of the New Mexico GOP is alarming, especially for someone who would be responsible for certifying the results of the 2024 election if she were elected.
