New StoryWalk® in Honor of National Native American Heritage Month at Clinton Library

Celebrate National Native American Heritage month with a visit to the newest StoryWalk® at Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton, sponsored by the Clinton Land Conservation Trust, featuring the book, "We Are Water Protectors" by Carole Lindstrom - A 2021 Caldecott Gold Medal winner. Visit the Children's Room while you're here for a themed activity kit! The HCH StoryWalk® was created thanks to a Legacy Gift from former Children’s Librarian Lynnabeth Mays.

About the Author: "Carole Lindstrom is the author of the New York Times bestselling and Caldecott Award-winning We Are Water Protectors. She is Anishinabe/Métis and is a proud member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe Indians. She was born and raised in Nebraska and currently makes her home in Maryland."—Macmillan Publishers

About the Illustrator: "Michaela Goade is a Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator (We Are Water Protectors) and graphic designer living and working in Juneau, Alaska, where she was also raised.
