RPAC Gallery presents

BUILD & DESTROY

Thursday, July 13 to September 10, 2023

Opening Reception: Thursday, July 13, 2023, 6–9 p.m.

June 20, 2023 (RIDGEFIELD, CT) – RPAC Gallery, located at 410 Main Street, Ridgefield, is excited to present Build & Destroy. This exhibition will showcase the artwork of Josh Allison of American Metal Customs. “For some of our exhibitions, we like to present forms of art that aren’t conventionally represented in art galleries,” said RPAC Gallery Owner Dee Dee Colabella. “For the first time ever, we will have hand-crafted motorcycles displayed in the gallery, with the photography of Sumner Dilworth on the walls.” With these complimentary art styles in the front of the gallery, and the always stunning artwork of the RPAC Resident Artists throughout the rest of the gallery, it will be yet another unique summer show.

ABOUT JOSH ALLISON

Motorcycles and cars have been a passion of Josh’s since childhood and that passion helped him graduate from WyoTech’s ASM, Collision Refinishing, Street Rod and Advanced Street Rod programs over a decade ago. Right after school, Josh started working in high-end hot rod shops while building bikes on the side. After working hard to hone his skills he decided to start his own shop, Cry Baby Cycles and he started building motorcycles full-time. Over the past ten years, Josh has accomplished many things including several prestigious hot rod awards, bikes featured in The Horse Magazine, Cycle Source Magazine, Easy Rider Magazine, Revolution Magazine, Freeway Magazine, and Gnarly Magazine as well as being a four-time invitee to The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, Peoples Champ contender, Born Free Invited Builder, multiple awards at Sturgis Bike Week, two-time invitee to its ‘Concours d’Elegance’ show, two bikes featured in David Uhl’s paintings, Chopcult Tech Article contributor and featured in Wrench Against the Machine’s TV show. More recently, Josh was the lead fabricator and shop manager at Orange County Choppers. Now Josh is bringing all of his passion, talent and experience to American Metal Customs in Danbury, CT!
