People, Place, and Influence: The Collection at 100

FINAL WEEKS! Closing April 21

What can an array of shoes, like the ones seen above, tell us about New York City history? They can reveal the stories of the diverse people who have called NYC home, and show how the city has influenced fashion and style. Visit the exhibition to dive into the city’s history, put on your historian hat and explore objects through interactive experiences on-site and on the MCNY Collections Portal, and reflect on how we can continue to collect and present an ever-growing city.
