Join us for a discussion featuring Diana Mashia, Founder and CEO of Invest In Her Art. Diana will discuss the Power of Story and the role that narratives have in shaping identity, fandom, advocacy and positive social impact. She will help guide a conversation around how we can better utilize stories and the arts to build awareness and advance women and non-binary people.

On Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6 PM, return for a dialogue with exhibition co-curators Tom Berntsen, Liz Leggett, and Ruth Mannes! Learn more about the design and installation of our current exhibition, From the Pen to the Knife, and the fascinating life story of Marian Christy – her childhood, award-winning journalism career, and prolific art practice rediscovered later in life.

From the Pen to the Knife features a unique collection of watercolors by the ground-breaking artist Marian Christy. Now 90 years old, Christy is the pioneer who invented Knifed Watercolors®, a new technique she developed into a single and original style that shatters tradition. Go behind the scenes with a docent-led tour on Thursdays; register now. 

ON THURSDAY EVENINGS: Gallery admission is complimentary after 4 PM on Thursdays! Purchase a drink or cocktail at our Happy Hour (5  - 7 PM), explore the exhibition with complimentary access, or try a Paint & Sip class (21+).  

ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS: Visit the exhibition on Sundays between 12 - 3 PM and the kids (ages 3 - 7) can enjoy one hour of Open Studio time ($20) while you explore the galleries. Advance registration requested; learn more.

Join us as we celebrate 50 years of the Heida! The Heida Hermanns International Competition showcases rising stars in the domains of voice, strings and piano every year. 

This special event features light works for woodwinds and piano, and soprano voice and piano, performed by seven previous winners of the competition who have built successful international careers.
