Five reasons not to miss the Heida Hermanns Piano Competition at MoCA Westport:

-This is no amateur competition -- the finalists are professional young musicians selected through an extensive international audition process. The winner receives a $10,000 prize! Learn more about the four finalists.

-Be the first to see a rising star! Prior winners include celebrated pianists who have gone on to perform in the world’s most important halls, including Spencer Myer, Frederic Chiu, Josh Wright, Timur Mustikimov, and Yue Chu.

-The competition will spotlight the unjustly neglected music of the important African-American composer, Nathaniel Dett. Learn more about Dett.

-Learn directly from the finalists through FREE master classes, as well as a lecture by distinguished American pianist Clipper Erickson, at the Westport Public Library as part of the three-day event.

-Experience MoCA Westport's visually stunning and timely exhibition, Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse, as the backdrop for the finalists' performances.

Tickets are available for individual performances and lectures or for the entire three-day event. Learn more about the finalists, jurists and schedule of events on our website and get your tickets today. Both in-person and virtual events are available.
