Summer Reading: Dare to Read!

Dare to Read helps make reading a daily habit. Kids can pick up a game board log starting June 10th, color in squares every day they read or are read to this summer, and win a fabulous prize by reading all summer long. Just for picking up the log at the Library, kids can choose a free book!

Programs kick off on June 15th with our Wednesdays on Stage series which includes storytellers, concerts, magicians, puppet and circus shows. On other days, kids can do fabulous art and science projects. All events will be outside in the Amphitheater behind the Library. Also check out Tuesdays for teens and tweens (see information below).

Welcome Aboard: eBook and Digital Resource Classes

We all love the feel of a good book, but it's hard to argue with the convenience of cramming 25 books into the phone in your pocket for that long vacation, or road tripping with an audiobook without fumbling around changing scratched CDs. And streaming movies and documentaries to your smart TV or finding newspaper articles from all over the world, all for free? Marvelous! But how does one do such things?

Find out at in these 1-hour introductions to eBooks and eAudio as well as the many digital resources available to you with your library card. If you haven't yet dipped your toes into the Library's digital waters, find out what you're missing.

No registration necessary. See a schedule of upcoming classes at millvalleylibrary.org/computers.
