Melissa Morgan Fine Art Gallery News : Seattle Art Fair

Arts and Entertainment

July 30, 2022

From: Melissa Morgan Fine Art

Thank you to all the collectors, visitors, artists, and staff who made the Seattle Art Fair a success. Our booth was featured in The Seattle Times, shared across social media platforms worldwide, and multiple works were sold, including a life-size Carole Feuerman sculpture and Steinunn Thorarinsdottir's aluminum and mirror piece. Infinity sculptures by Anthony James were, of course, a center of attention and other stand-outs were mixed-media and resin works by Andrea Stanislav and hand-chopped basswood sculpture by James Surls.

For those unable to visit us at the Seattle Art Fair, Art Market Products has partnered with Artsy to bring you a virtual viewing room, through July 31st.

Congratulations, Joseph McDonnell

On your exquisite artwork “Climate Change" installed this week at the Four Seasons Hotel, Seattle, WA

The concept was first created as a maquette during McDonnell's visit to The American Academy of Rome in October 2017. Later, Waterfall's design concept was submitted to the Venice Architecture Biennale. The works theme of water and placement near a canal at the Palazzo Mora was reminiscent of the rising tides. McDonnell's team collaborated with local fabricators in Venice, Italy to create the stainless steel armature and 300 blown glass cubes. "Climate Change" finds its new home at the Four Seasons Hotel, Seattle, WA, on the rooftop, where sunlight can shine through the bubbled glass.
