Saatchi Gallery revealed its immersive garden installation at the Royal Horticulture Society Chelsea Flower Show in May 2022. The installation showcased three artworks: Crystal 001, 60” Great Stellated Dodecahedron, and 80” Great Stellated Dodecahedron by internationally acclaimed, MMFA represented, and London-born artist Anthony James. Flower Show visitors were invited to explore the light sculptures created by James, using algorithms to emulate natural crystal formations; with one work being over eight feet tall.

Anthony James says of his process: “Crystallisation happens when molecules gather together as they attempt to become stable. I took this concept found in nature and used computer programming to mimic naturally forming polycrystalline shapes. This allowed an organic digitisation which parallels crystals formation, even allowing for external influences to cause variations.”

Works by Anthony James are currently on exhibition in our gallery and sculpture garden.

Join us for the opening reception of Kipaipai Workshop's group exhibition. The Hawaiian word Kipaipai means “to encourage and inspire” and that’s exactly what this intensive program for artists is all about. Founded by Andi Campognone, Director and Curator at the Museum of Art and History (MOAH) in Lancaster, Calif., the program shares information on everything to do with professional art practices from social media promotion to identifying and strategizing goals, gallery representation, and museum exhibitions. The immersive workshops have been held in Ojai, Joshua Tree, on the Big Island of Hawaii, and in upstate New York. The purpose: to help artists take their careers to the next level. Proceeds from all sales will directly benefit the artists and Kipaiapi.
