Arts and Entertainment

November 24, 2023

From: Massillon Museum

Join the Massillon Museum, for Do the Mu. Artist and instructor Kat Francis will teach program participants how to make clothespin puppets. All ages and ability levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided. Guests can drop in anytime between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m.

Kat Francis, a mixed media artist, earned an MFA at Columbus College of Art and a BFA at the Ohio State University. In her work, she honestly, yet playfully, illustrates American history and daily life. She observes and creates in a collage-like manner to illustrate reflections on modern life. Moving frequently and learning to adapt to new places, Francis has a deep appreciation for unique surroundings and storytelling.

Do the Mu is a free monthly drop-in, hands-on intergenerational outlet for creativity. The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council, ArtsinStark, and the citizens of Massillon. This workshop is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
