From: Massillon Museum

The Massillon Museum hosts open studio times in its ceramics facility. Registration for March is now open—contact Stephanie Toole, education and outreach manager, at 330-833-4061 x104.

The Frank Harrison Ceramics Studio invites adults who have previously studied ceramics at MassMu or another institution to participate in the ceramics open studio program on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. No instruction is available, but participants may use the studio for any amount of time during the open hours. The number of registrants is limited to allow maximum availability of the pottery wheels and studio equipment.

The monthly fee is $50 ($40 per MassMu member). New members are welcome at any time as space allows. Use of tools, wheels, glazes, and firing are included in the fee. Participants may bring their own clay or purchase a 25-pound bag from the Museum for $20.

The Massillon Museum is grateful for operating support from the Ohio Arts Council, ArtsinStark, and the citizens of Massillon, as well as marketing support from Visit Canton. This open studio opportunity is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon. A visit to the Massillon Museum is always free. Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in nearby city lots. For more information, call the Museum at 330-833-4061 or visit massillonmuseum.org.
