MassMu Hosts Artwork by Members of the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon

The Massillon Museum’s annual Artwork by Members of the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon exhibition can be seen in MassMu’s Fred F. Silk Community Room Gallery through January 7, 2024. The exhibition showcases the children’s artwork, rewards creativity, and raises awareness for the work of the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon.

This show is divided into age groups with artwork in categories such as: watercolor, pastel, acrylic paint, collage, mixed media, monochromatic, multi-colored drawing, and group project.

Visitors can also see John W. Carlson: Set the Twilight Reeling in the Aultman Health Foundation Gallery; Ish Ishmael: Manifestations of the Dystopian Reverie (through November 12); Elena Masrour: Bingo, I’m the King, Now! (opening November 30); A Way to Win: Paul Brown’s Innovations; the Paul Brown and Massillon Tiger timeline; Precarious Legacies: Exposures of a Fleeting Landscape; the Immel Circus; Innovators of MassillonEthiopian Expedition of 1903; First Peoples of North America; and exhibitions in the Local History Gallery and the Albert E. Hise Fine and Decorative Arts Gallery. 

Exhibitions can be seen during regular Museum hours, Tuesdays through Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  MassMu will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

The Fred F. Silk Community Room Gallery exhibits two-dimensional artwork reflecting collaborations between MassMu and community partners. The Boys and Girls Club of Massillon, which serves hundreds of children, focuses on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. The Museum is pleased to collaborate annually with the Boys and Girls Club to enhance the cultural life of the community.
